Your most embarrassing date moment?
Once I asked two girls on Hinge if they were free to grab Indian food at one of my favorite places the next day. Let's call them #1 and #2. Unexpectedly, both girls said yes, so I confirmed with #1, who piqued my curiosity more. I messaged #2 with some excuse that I couldn't make it. I went to the Indian place with #1, and of course, #2 is there eating with someone else! We made eye contact and recognized each other, so I quietly told #1 about the situation, thinking it'd make for a funny story. It didn't — she barely laughed. I went to the bathroom, and see a message from #2: "At the place you suggested yesterday and pretty sure you're here on a date. BYE!" When I came back, #2 smirked at me and #1 noticed. The rest of the night was super weird and I never heard from either of them again.
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
Honestly, it's a huge deal to me that Tea With Strangers is something people even care about. We're creating something that people are actually invested in growing because it actually matters to them. I'm really proud of that. It's best represented by the fact that the two most common responses upon learning about TWS are "How can I get involved?" and "How can I help this grow?"
